Configure room machines

Version note: This video was recorded in GMS v1.1.10 beta 6. Newer versions may show Room Hardware → Machines instead of GPay Machines, and Pricing instead of Pricing Settings.

Room configuration maps each payment device to machine type, Bluetooth address, and reusable Machine, Pricing, and Operation profiles.

Walkthrough

  1. Select target Account, then target Location.
  2. Confirm location identity and address.
  3. Open GPay Machines.
  4. Review room list: machine name/number, machine type, and Bluetooth address.
  5. Open one machine.
  6. Confirm machine name and choose correct machine type.
  7. Assign compatible Machine Settings, Pricing Settings, and Operation Settings profiles.
  8. Associate Bluetooth address using the onsite discovery workflow. Recording says manual entry is possible but prefers discovery from physical device.
  9. Save changes and confirm setup reaches the intended devices.

Profile behavior

Available profiles depend on selected machine type. Profiles created earlier can be reused across machines and locations. Changing shared profile can update all associated machines after setup is pushed.

Blast radius: Before changing shared pricing or operation profile, list all associated machines and locations. One profile edit may change many devices.

Verification

  • Match logical machine number to physical machine.
  • Verify Bluetooth address onsite; avoid transcription errors.
  • Confirm machine type before assigning profiles.
  • Review all three profile assignments.
  • Confirm setup push completed on intended devices.

After creating profiles by machine type, define room machines. Under account and location, open GPay Machines. Each row has machine type and Bluetooth address. Address may be typed, but recording recommends pulling it from devices in room. For each machine, set type and assign Machine, Pricing, and Operation profiles. Shared profile changes affect associated machines after setup is pushed.
