Prerequisites
Before configuring promotions:
- Promotions must be enabled for the customer system. Contact Greenwald support if the Promotions tab is unavailable.
- GMS user needs promotion permissions. Source names Promotion Read while also describing edit access. Editing may also require Promotion Change, depending on the GMS version.
- Existing Mobile Vend Discount, First Mobile Vend Free, and Refer a Friend settings should already be migrated to new format.
Feature gate: When system-level feature is disabled, account settings do not take effect and Promotions tab is hidden.

Use independent schedules to move demand into quieter periods instead of moving Locations between promotional and non-promotional Accounts. Schedules may overlap.
Rollout checklist
- Confirm account timezone against source-defined UTC+0/GMT+0 behavior.
- Test start/end boundaries and overnight windows.
- Verify overlapping promotions produce expected transaction history and balances.
- Confirm GreenwaldPay Mobile App messages and MultiPay behavior with test users.
- Record configured settings and rollback values.
