Create mobile user administrators

Recording creates an account-level GPay mobile user with administrator access so phone app can help initialize a room before its devices are fully associated.

Access context

Recording names Greenwald system administrator, customer administrator, and customer operator access levels, with restrictions such as hiding financial reports. Role names and permissions may differ in newer versions; verify selected permissions before granting access.

Walkthrough

  1. Select target Account.
  2. Open GPay Users; recording screen also displays Mobile Users.
  3. Select create/add user.
  4. Enter login name, first name, last name, password, and mobile phone as required by current UI.
  5. Enable Is Admin only when user needs phone-app administrative privileges.
  6. Confirm account/location association.
  7. Save, then test sign-in through the phone-app onboarding process.

Why this happens before room setup

Recording describes bootstrap dependency: phone app needs an administrator who can operate before room devices identify location. Account-level GPay admin user supplies those credentials. If the workflow differs, follow current GMS prompts or contact Greenwald support.

Security guidance

  • Create named individual accounts; avoid shared admin credentials.
  • Grant administrator flag only for room setup or support duties that require it.
  • Use your organization's password policy and a secure credential-delivery method.
  • Remove or downgrade temporary access after setup.
  • Do not assume legacy role names map to current permissions.

GMS login access could be restricted by administrator/operator level, including access to financial reports. At account level, open GPay Users and create a mobile user.
