Assign one or more roles to user. Effective permissions are union of all assigned roles.

Assign roles to users
A user may have one or more roles. Permissions from assigned roles are combined.
- Open System → Users.
- Select user.
- Open Assign Roles.
| Section | Meaning | Action |
|---|---|---|
| Assigned Roles | Roles currently applied to user. | Select Unassign to remove. |
| Available Roles | Roles defined for customer but not assigned to user. | Select Assign to add. |
Required: Every user must retain at least one assigned role. GMS blocks save when final role is removed.
- Review resulting role combination.
- Select Save.
Example: User needing Reports and Locations may receive one combined role or two focused roles. Effective permissions are union of all assigned roles.
